Where to go, what to Read

People love to travel around New England. All six states have something for everyone to check out. There are bookstore throughout the region. Some are well known, and some are known only to locals and a few bookworms. Here are some stores to check out if you're in a specific area.

Annie's Book Stop

575 South St West, Raynham, MA Just off Route 44 is a bookshop that is packed with new and used books. Dave and Shirley have been keeping Annie's running since 1983, and their shelves have something for every reader and genre. The folks in Raynham have books for pleasure and academic requirements. The store also features many books for those who are looking for something taking place in southeastern Massachusetts, especially a few about the infamous Bridgewater Triangle. Annie's is open seven days a week and features half-priced paperbacks.

Mad Mama Vintage


725 Washington St, Stoughton, MA
This is a store that has everything. It has collectibles, games, toys and dolls, but most of all BOOKS! MMV specializes in books written by indie authors from Stoughton, MA and the surrounding area. You can find hours of operation on its website. Head over to MMV to find a book by one of the many authors who call the South Shore home.


Paperback Junction


619 Washington St, South Easton, MA
Like most independently owned bookstores, Paperback Junction is small, but filled with books from floor to ceiling and everywhere in between. It has everything from the Classics to test-prep materials. If they don't have it, they'll find it for you in a timely fashion.
